2021 Bugatti Chiron Prices, Reviews, and Pictures

Overview

The 2021 Chiron is the sequel to the Veyron. It combines the brand’s history and the performance of its predecessors into one amazing machine. Although the Chiron’s $3 million price tag is a testament to its extreme personality, it’s still a great value for money. The Chiron’s 16-cylinder engine is a marvellous feat of engineering and can propel it to speeds of 300 mph or more. The Chiron is capable of altering time and looks unlike any other car on the road, except perhaps a Veyron. Its interior is also made with high-quality materials that are worthy of the price. This beauty does not offer Apple CarPlay, semi-autonomous driving modes, or Apple CarPlay. But who cares? The Chiron doesn’t have to meet the same practical requirements and expectations as a McLaren or Lamborghini, which allows it to be all that autodom has to offer.

What’s new for 2021?

Bugatti has included the Pur Sport model in the Chiron lineup for 2021. The handling-focused trim costs $3.6 million, but comes with suspension upgrades, a 110-pound lighter curb weight, and a rear spoiler that generates more downforce. Only 60 Pur Sport models will be made.

People choose cars like the Chiron because they want to make a statement on the boulevard, at the valet stand or in front of Monte Carlo’s Casino. The base Chiron is a great choice with its sleek lines and high price. This model is sure to bring a smile to the faces of hypercar buyers. The Chiron is equipped with full power accessories and quad LED headlights.

Engine, Transmission, & Performance

All Chiron models have an 8.0-liter 16 cylinder engine. The engine boasts four turbochargers that produce a staggering 1500 horsepower and 1180 pounds of torque. Bugatti claims the Chiron can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds and has a top speed at 261 mph. The Chiron Super Sport 300+ is a more powerful engine than the standard Chiron. The base powerplant is slightly stronger and this model produces 1578 horsepower. Andy Wallace, the factory test driver, piloted this model which has specs that are almost identical to the Chiron Super Sport 300+. He ran a record-setting 304.773mph on the track. Every model in the Chiron lineup has a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.

Fuel Economy and Real World MPG

The Chiron isn’t eco-friendly, as one would expect for a car powered by a 1500-hp engine. The 2021 Chiron is estimated to achieve mileage (we hesitated to use the term “fuel economy”) up to 9 mpg in the city and 14 mpg on the highway according to the EPA. Both figures are reduced by 1 mpg when the Pur Sport is used. Since the Chiron is not allowed to travel 75 mph on highway fuel economy routes, it has been subject to extensive testing. We are unable to evaluate its real-world mpg.

Interior, Comfort, & Cargo

Exterior of the Chiron features a C-shaped design cue in its side panels. This element is also present inside the car’s cabin. This is reflected in the elegant curve of the partition that divides passenger and driver. Bugatti has outfitted the Chiron’s cabin with top-of-the line materials. The interior features space-age styling elements, which add whimsical charm. The driver is greeted by a flat-bottomed steering column. Bugatti claims that the glossy center console is made of one piece of aluminum. It’s important to keep the Chiron light. Only two cubic feet of cargo space are available in the trunk.

Infotainment & Connectivity

The Chiron’s focus on performance means compromises in the informationtainment department. The Bugatti is a racing car with the minimal tech content. The screen is not large enough to display information, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay aren’t available. The car’s infotainment features are limited to a sound system, a trip computer, and some other basic amenities. The sound system is excellent and features four tweeters with a one-carat, diamond membrane. This ensures a high level of sound quality. This is what you would expect from a car that costs millions.
